Information for those thinking of retiring, or recently retired

Meeting People Through Voluntary Work

In retirement, your social life is as important as ever, but without workplace socialising, there is often a gap to fill. If you are on your own, you may miss having someone to go out with, for meals or to the cinema, and so on.
There is no better way to meet people than through a common interest, and voluntary work provides many opportunities, whether working in a charity shop, helping at a hospital or school, or even participating in a restoration project.
