Retire to Skegness?
Skegness is a good choice for quiet retirement living, with good quality housing, and a relaxed lifestyle. The downside is its remoteness (for Southerners!) and the stiff North Sea wind. However, the positives must win, as in March 2005, Skegness took the top spot in a survey, looking at the best retirement places in the UK, based on house prices, hospital waiting lists, the crime rate, council tax rates, activities and attractions, the weather, transport etc.
