Information for those thinking of retiring, or recently retired

Savings Accounts

Banks and building societies offer an overwhelming range of savings products, which can sometimes be confusing. You should start by deciding whether you want instant-access, or can wait to withdraw money with a notice period, then shop around. The best deals are on the internet, but postal and telephone accounts are almost as good. If you want a branch-based account, do look out for special accounts for over-50s and over-60s, which might give good rates with flexibility.
