Holidays in Venice
Venice is outstanding as a short-break holiday, or combined into a two-centre holiday. A day trip there is OK, but very crowded in the middle of the day. If you stay there in a hotel, you'll see a quieter and nicer city early in the morning, and in the evening. Stroll a short distance from the main thoroughfares, and you'll find a pleasant Italian neighbourhood to stroll through. Unless you are spending lots of money, your hotel room will be small, sometimes very small, but the location will be fine.
