Fishing as a Hobby
In retirement, it is valuable to have hobbies and activities that are interesting and absorbing, and that ideally enable you to meet more people with a shared interest.
Fishing has the great advantage that it combines research that you can do with books and the internet, and also it gets you out into the fresh air. There are also lots of enthusiasts in any locality, so it is a way to meet people. However, sitting in silence for hours by the pool or riverbank is not the most social of activities!!
