Bowls as a Hobby
In retirement, it is valuable to have hobbies and activities that are interesting and absorbing, and that ideally enable you to meet more people with a shared interest.
One really good hobby is Bowls, which is a gentle and pleasurable way to take exercise!! It is very much a social activity, but often suits older people than early retirees. It's not a bad idea to go to the local bowling green to watch, and see what age and type of people are involved, so you can decide if it is a group you might want to join in with.
