Internet Communities

Your social life is important, but unless you are in employment, and your workplace socialising is exceptional, there is often a gap to fill. If you are on your own, you may miss having someone to go out with, for meals or to the cinema, and so on. One new way in which you can build new friendships is through internet-based communities. There are all sorts of specialised communities related to pretty well every interest of hobby. While this kind of socialising is not the same as face-to-face contact, it still can be entertaining and enjoyable, interacting with others over a distance.
