Holidays in Rome
Rome is excellent as a short-break holiday, up to say a week, or combined into a two-centre holiday. There is a vast amount to see, of course, including the Colosseum, the Forum and other ancient sites.
Since the expansion of the EU, large numbers of people have entered from Eastern Europe, many setting up tents and shacks by the roadside. As a result, some parts of the city are now less safe to walk in on your own, so in the evening do stay where there are plenty of other tourists.
