Football as a Hobby
It is valuable to have hobbies and activities that are interesting and absorbing, and that ideally enable you to meet more people with a shared interest.
Football (as a spectator) provides a great interest, as not only can you enjoy watching at home, but can get out to attend matches locally or further afield. To get the best out of this, you probably want to join a supporters club, so you get a good social side too.
