Where to live?
Making your decision on where to live is one of the hardest you will ever make, and that's why many people don't take the risk and stay where they are too long. You'll want to think of nearness/transport to shops, to family and hospitals etc. Schools will be of interest, if you have young children. The advantage of moving is that you choose a location and house for your current lifestyle, for example if you plan to use public transport more. Moving can let you upsize for an expanding family, or downsize and release money for spending, with greater flexibility that many equity-release schemes. The disadvantages are of course the cost and the disruption, and the risk that you won't like the new area, and will have to do it all again!!
