I started writing my first novel early in 2010, 'Pit of Corruption'.
I read loads of advice in books and on the web, and attended a great one-day
class run by Writers Workshop, and tried to apply what I had learned.
When I'd edited and revised my manuscript to as good a state as I could get it, I tried a few
agents, but without success. Most don't have the time to comment, but one did! And it was very useful advice.
I won't give the name, or else he'd be inundated!
Anyway,... I decided to try out Kindle Direct Publishing, to get my story out,
and move on. So we'll see how that works out.
I've completed my second novel now, and as before, it took a lot more time than I'd
like, editing and editing and...!
It's currently doing the rounds with agents. And of course, I'm now working on
my third novel.
Having recently attended a Guardian masterclass on getting novels published,
and learned ever more about the process, hopefully the success rate with agents
will improve in future!
Meantime, I like doing things with computers, and have set up some tools and
tips
that could be handy for other aspiring novelists.
These
writers tools and tips are at: wotnext.com/Novelist I've found them useful myself, so who knows...
If you've an Android phone, I've also put some of the tools in an app called 'Novelist' that you can download from
Android Market.

My First Novel: Pit of Corruption
You can download 'Pit of Corruption' as a Kindle eBook. It's at these sites:
It's got crime, corruption, murder, romance, and more ...
I'm sure you'll enjoy it, but whatever you think, it would be good to see
your comments in the Amazon 'reviews'.
